'I Need You Like Light' is a series of cyanotypes that explores the emotional and biological dependencies of the human body. The project examines the interplay between intimacy, desire, and attachment, with a particular focus on the physiological responses triggered by connection to a specific individual. It considers both the neurochemical processes associated with emotional experience and the underlying biological mechanisms that govern the body, such as the menstrual cycle and its relationship to fertilisation.
Through this work, the series reflects on how human connection operates simultaneously on emotional and biological levels, revealing the complexity of dependency within intimate relationships.
